HELLO, A.D.E.L.E (Review)

Just when I thought I was emotionally stable again, Adele released her new single, "Hello". Adele is back folks and she came back with a major hit. No bubble gum pop or Taylor Swift songs that remind you that Taylor is still mentally in middle school (No offense Taylor, but grow up). Adele provides soothing soul that tugs at the very lining of your heart strings. This is grown folks music kids! Study the passion and remorse in her voice on this track. One can't help but love how you can feel the emotion in her vocal delivery. Her vocals provide that ocean soft texture that melts down like warm honey tea. Let's take a moment to dissect "Hello" and cry in relief of emotional baggage gone and new music from the one and only, Adele.

Before we go any further, if you want a 5 star rating of this song you will be highly disappointed because this song is a 10 star single. I don't know if it is because of the long wait and enduring excitement or the mellow and soft sound of piano on this track, but either way the song is unforgettable and is ranked high on the totem pole at SoundBytez. We start this track with one word: Hello. It's like Adele is a love we have never forgotten and she is calling us back to say sorry for the long wait. We immediately know who the caller is and gladly welcome her back with a sigh of relief.

As if the grace of her vocals were not enough to make you cry, Adele hits us with the one-two punch of heartfelt vocals. She has always had that ability to bring out the best of pure emotion in one chord. Love seems like it has been the insatiable source of songwriting since the beginning of time and love has been expressed in so many different ways and avenues yet it never gets old. Though a plethora of love songs have spoken about and spelled love in so many different ways, Adele comes back with a new twist on relationships that reminds you that love is to be taken seriously and the reality of love lost is often too painful to bear. Sometimes it's just too late to apologize. The music video, that probably has millions of views now, adorns the song and punctuates the raw feeling of rejection or failure in trying to make a wrong right. The power that the song builds stings past regrets that somehow never go away but go underground ready to boil back up to the surface and erupt in emotional flames. Be sure to grab a box of tissues for your tears and a flip phone to call and plagarize "Hello" to confuse your ex. Once again, Adele is back and whenever Adele comes back, her heart, as well as ours, returns with us.

-Peace, Love, and God Above
